2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine the sugar, orange juice, corn syrup, orange zest, and salt.
Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Increase the heat and bring to a boil without stirring. Use a candy thermometer to check the temperature.
Cook until the mixture reaches 240°F (soft ball stage).
Remove from heat, stir in the butter, and allow to cool slightly.
Pour the mixture into a greased pan and let it set for several hours until firm.
