1 sleeve saltine crackers
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until combined.
Pour the butter mixture over the saltines, spreading evenly.
Bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top; let sit for a few minutes to melt.
Spread the melted chocolate evenly across the crackers.
If desired, sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
