A delicious and festive Black Forest Trifle that’s perfect for Christmas celebrations!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate cake, crumbled
  • 1 jar cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until peaks form.
  2. In a trifle dish, layer half of the crumbled chocolate cake at the bottom.
  3. Add a layer of cherry pie filling over the cake, followed by a layer of vanilla pudding.
  4. Spread half of the whipped cream on top of the vanilla pudding.
  5. Repeat the layers: chocolate cake, cherry filling, vanilla pudding, and remaining whipped cream.
  6. Top with chocolate shavings for decoration.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, add more chocolate shavings on top.
  • This trifle can be prepared a day in advance for easier hosting.
